The surgery requires the creation of a tract in the kidney and the insertion of a scope for stone removal or a stent. This procedure is effective for removing stones that are more than 2cm long. Recovery is rapid when compared to traditional kidney stone removal.
- Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS) : This procedure is performed for removing stones from the kidney or ureter. A flexible scope is used through the urinary tract to break the stones into small pieces through laser light. This tube is thin. This surgery is good for multiple different-sized stones.
- Urinary Tract Stone Treatment : This surgical procedure is used if there are multiple large-sized kidney stones causing infection or blockage with difficulties to pass down. Precisely applicable for stone sizes greater than 5 mm. Often, the symptoms are vomiting, blood in the urine, and pain.
